Walking through the lush fields at the very southwest corner of the island, you are stunned by the view. The Ocean of Isles stretches south and west for as far as the eye can see, gentle waves breaking against the slight rise where water meets land. Turning around, you see the forests to the northeast, and the mountains on the horizon behind them.

Dog Ear Inn

A drunken mason's miscalculations caused one of the upstairs supporting walls of this building to collapse under the weight of its roof right after it was finished. The mason, and then owner, decided to just rent out one less room rather than repair it. The inn owes its name to the way the roof resembles an overturned open book, with the remains of the wall as a page folded double.

Kaz Thador

A direct descendant of the mason that built the 'Dog Ear Inn', Kaz Thador chose not to fix the second floor debacle after he inherited the Inn from his father. This decision was based partly on the fact that it owes its name to the curious feature, partly on the fact that he also inherited his family's laziness. Despite this trait he runs a lucrative trade business, even if his office is also his common room.
