It is easy to see why superstitious minds would believe this glacier is the place of the Gods' wrath. A bottomless chasm runs all the way through the icy mountain. In the center of it is an enormous triangular rock formation, almost as if some higher power in its divine anger used it as a wedge to separate the peninsula to the northeast from the island proper.

Crystal Cathedral

In a cleft in the rock in the center of the chasm, only reachable by a swaying rope bridge, you find this amazing Cathedral. Dedicated to the Gods of Winter, the sanctuary used to be decorated with clear gems, cut to match the icy crystals that still adore it. The gems are gone, pillaged by a band of heretic halflings. This proved to be a fatal mistake, as the halflings are gone now, too.
