Description:
Trees are a renewable resource which can be harvested to produce wood. They grow from seeds which have been dropped in the summer and autumn or which have been planted by a person with a high enough herbalism skill.

What do you need to know:

• Each tree takes up the space of 8 peasants. That is, it reduces the maximum population of a region who can work by 8.
• They can grow from seeds which have been dropped by other trees or which have been planted by a person with a high enough herbalism skill.
• Trees gradually spread to adjacent regions.
• Mallorn trees? are similar in size and behaviour to normal trees but do not spread to adjacent regions.

How to get more trees:

• plant saplings with Water of Life?
  required: 10 wood und 1 Water of Life? for 10 saplings
• plant saplings more effectively with magic and Water of Life?
  required: correct type of magic, Water of Life?, Aura und Wood
• Seeds
  required: Herbalism? 3 (collect) and 6 (plant)
• Elves? Each elf (up to one eighth of a region's maximum working population?, e.g. 1250 in a plain) increases the chance of a Tree to grow a sapling by 0.002%.
• Wait with tree cutting until winter. Then the trees can drop seeds during the summer and fall, wich will give you some new saplings in next spring.
