Buildings are constructions which offer advantages to factions who own them.

What types of buildings are available?

• Castle? gives trade and defense benefits
• Lighthouse allows you to see the surrounding ocean regions
• Mine makes iron mining more efficient and is required to mine laen
• Quarry makes stone quarrying more efficient
• Sawmill makes wood production more efficient
• Smithy make weaponsmithing? and armoursmithing? more efficient
• Stable? enables horses to be bred
• Harbour allows any size ship to land at a region and gives trade benefits
• Academy? gives skill learning benefits
• Mage Tower? gives magic benefits
• Caravanserei? required to build roads? in desert? regions
• Dam? required to build roads? in swamp? regions
• Tunnel? required to build roads? in glacier? regions
• Inn? allows units to recover their health more quickly
• Monument? is a decorative memorial

What do you need to know about them?

• All buildings except castles? require maintenance. This can take the form of silver?, wood, stone, and even horses.
• If maintenance costs are not paid the building may collapse and kill some of the workers inside.
• Some buildings need to be a certain size before they start to work.
• Buildings have a limited capacity for how many workers can fit inside. This could be based upon size or an absolute limit.
• Different building types may require different levels of the masonry skill to build them.
• Buildings can be given a name and a description.
• It is not possible to build builings in buildings. i.e. an Akademy inside a castle or an mage tower inside an akademy is not possible.
