What does it do?
- When units produce Stone in a Quarry only half the amount is extracted from the region. This effect is cumulative to racial advantages.
- Units inside a Quarry get +1 on their quarrying? skill.
What you need to know about it:
- It is most efficient to produce an even amount of Stone in a quarry (ie: multiple of 2). For example, quarrying 4 pieces will extract 2 pieces from a region and quarrying 5 pieces will extract 3 pieces from a region and quarrying 6 will also extract 3 pieces from a region.
- If you have a racial advantage (eg: Trolls?) then it is most efficient to extract stone in multiples of 8 for similar reasons to the previous point.
- Even though a quarry raises your quarrying? skill level by 1 you still need a sufficient base skill to find the stone. For example if the region has stone at L6 but you only have L5 your unit will not be able to extract the stone even if they enter a quarry.
